The virtualised solution reduced the existing server, storage and network equipment racks, saving 75% of IT systems floor space for the customer. This provided much needed room for future expansion.
There was also a significant reduction in power consumption.
In addition the customer has now achieved high availability fail-over for their critical applications, particularly in respect of medical records maintenance. There was also a considerable improvement in server and storage management and through SAN consolidation it is now much easier to manage data.
